For Youth Leaders

Whether you are returning or this is your first time, we are excited to have your team partner with Apex this year. While your trip may not require a passport, it will not be short on adventure or opportunities to bring the gospel to an unfamiliar context.

Experience has taught us that teams get the most out of their missions experience when there is adequate time for pre-trip training. Typically, teams need five training sessions to adequately prepare. A recommended training schedule will be provided for your convenience. It honors God when we spend time prior to and during the trip allowing Him to guide our hearts, plans and our ministry work.

Our EFCA tradition, established by immigrant families long ago, continues with you and your team. In most of our cities, you will minister among immigrant populations and meet your extended EFCA family members who are serving them, praying and working toward gospel transformation in their city.

We know you value disciplemaking and understand it is essential to the mission of the Church. Our schedule reflects this value through its design, inclusive of daily times of prayer, devotions and debrief, providing time for your team to be together and share what God is teaching you during the week.

Our leadership team consists of a group of full-time EFCA ReachGlobal and ReachNational staff, and local partners, who will serve as mentors and site team leaders.

Know that Apex staff, city staff and site leaders are already praying for your team and the work God will do in and through you during your mission trip.

Thank you for taking time to read this letter. As was mentioned, we would look forward to talking with you and answering any further questions you might have about Apex.

Thank you for partnering with Apex. We’re excited for a great summer with your students!
